Residents fear crossing dangerous Oranmore road

Residents, many of them retired people, fear for their safety trying to cross the busy Maree Road in an area where there is excessive speeding by motorists.
Galway Co Council has been lashed for its inaction to date to the suggestion that speed ramps, or other traffic calming measures, be put in place along this dangerous stretch of road.
Councillor Jim Cuddy says the Council’s response so far is simply not good enough.
