Galway Bay fm newsroom – A final report on the city and county councils acquisition of Galway Airport is to come before councillors when title requisitions are finalised.

City Manager Brendan McGrath told councillors he met with the County Manager last week with the final set of stakeholders.

He said a process is ongoing to finalise the title requisitions and said the contracts have not yet been signed.

The matter was raised in City Hall last evening where Cllr Peter Keane asked if the due diligence is as yet complete.

In November, Galway city and county councils announced the acquisition of the 115 acre site in Carnmore from Galway chamber for 1.1 million euro.
