REDUCTION IN MRSA CASES AT CITY’S PUBLIC HOSPITALS

Ten people were treated for MRSA at Galway University Hospitals in the first six months of this year.

According to the HSE, just two of these patients had the blood stream infection when they were admitted to the hospital.

However, overall there has been a reduction in the number of cases of MRSA at Galway University Hospitals when compared to other years.
