REBEL GALWAY TD DENIES TALKS TO FORM NEW PARTY

Galway Fine Gael TD Brian Walsh who lost the party whip, after voting against the proposed abortion legislation at the second stage of the bill, has denied that he was involved in talks regarding the formation of a new party.
The Galway West TD was reported as one of a group of five who were alleged to have discusseed the formation of a new party over a dinner in Dublin last Wednesday according to a report in “The Mail on Sunday” newspaper.
But speaking to Galway Bay Fm News Deputy Walsh said meeting for dinner with other Fine Gael colleagues who are also opposed to the proposed abortion bill did not signify the formation of a new party.
