Galway City Tribune – A daring ram-raid on a city centre shop yielded a haul of computer equipment and phones worth several thousand euro.

The Compu b store on the corner of William Street and Upper Abbeygate Street had its front door rammed by the gang who were travelling in a red car, possibly an Audi.

The gang struck at around 3.15am on Monday morning last when they backed their car at speed into the front doors of the Compu b store that specialises in high-quality phones and computer equipment.

Computers including MacBooks and MacBook Pros, as well as iPhones and iPads – that were on the display shelves of the shop – were seized by the raiders in a matter of minutes – the total value of the equipment taken is estimated to be worth between €15,000 and €20,000.
