QUARTER OF A MILLION EURO IN REVENUE SETTLEMENTS IN GALWAY

A Fisherman and an hotelier from the County, whose names appear on the latest Tax Defaulters List, have made a total settlement of over a quarter of a million euro.
Patrick Fitzpatrick, a fisherman from Killeaney, Kilronan on the Aran Islands had the largest settlement in Galway of 226 thousand euro.
This was for underdeclaration of Income Tax in a Revenue Audit Case.
The second Galway name on the latest Tax Defaulters List is Sean Ó Loideáin, an hotelier from Bóthar and Doilín in An Cheathrú Rua.
He made a settlement of almost 36 thousand euro for underdeclaration of Income Tax and V.A.T.
