PUBLIC OPINION SOUGHT ON NUIG’S IRISH LANGUAGE SERVICES

NUI Galway is inviting submissions from the public on its Irish language services.

The university’s currently drawing up its second bilingual programme for 2008-2011.

The previous 2005-2008 scheme drawn up under the Official Languages Act has created a bilingual campus at NUIG, with thirteen services provided through Irish.

The university has taken out advertisements in national papers inviting the public to make submissions on its second scheme for the next three years.

The closing date for receipt of representations from the public is May 23rd.
