PUBLIC MEETING TO RESOLVE DISPUTE IN GALWAY’S GAY COMMUNITY

A public meeting will take place this evening in an effort to solve a dispute which has divided Galway’s Gay and Lesbian community and threatens the success of this year’s Gay Pride Festival.

The dispute, believed to be financial in nature, arose from the 2008 festival and has led to the creation of two separate, competiting organising committees for this year’s festival.
