PUBLIC MEETING ABOUT PROTECTED AREA OFF GALWAY COAST

A public meeting about special areas of conservation, that affects parts of West Galway will take place this week.

It’s organised by Galway Sin Fein Senator, Trevor O’ Clochartaigh and Mayo Councillor Rose Conway- Walsh.

The affected area surrounds the Mullet Peninsula and covers a substantial area between the coast of Galway and Mayo.

The meeting will take place at the Talbot Hotel in Belmullet at 8p.m on Thursday.

Senator O’ Clochartaigh says it affects a significant portion of the Galway coast.
