PSYCHIATRIC ASSESSMENT ORDERED FOR BOY CHARGED WITH RENMORE KNIFE INCIDENT

A psychiatric assessment will be carried out on a 17-year-old boy after he allegedly approached a young girl with a knife in the city last week.

The boy – who can’t be named for legal reasons – was further remanded in custody to appear at Galway District Court again later this month.

The alleged incident happened outside Renmore Community Centre shortly before 8pm on Tuesday Sep 28th.
