The plans for improved flood relief measures at Carnmore will go on public display shortly according to Senator Fidelma Healy Eames

She says the devastating floods of 2009 forced people from their homes and overwhelmed local communities so we need to do all we can to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

Last year the OPW commissioned a review of the draft design of the Carnmore/Cashla measures, which form part of the proposed Clare River Flood Relief Scheme.

Senator Healy Eames is pleased the OPW has accepted the findings of the review and it intends to push ahead with the works and put the plans on public display shortly
