PROFITS FALL AT CITY RETAIL GROUP

A UK retail group with fashion stores in the city has incurred a fall of over 30 per cent in its yearly profits.

The Arcadia group owns well known city fashion outlets Topman, Burton, Dorothy Perkins, Miss Selfridge Wallis and Evans.

Today’s Irish Times reports that profits at the parent company fell by a third from £213 million to £133 million.

Sales from the group have also slipped from £2.7 billion to £2.6 billion in the period to August this year.
