PROBLEMS RESOLVED AT 14 UNFINISHED CITY ESTATES

Serious problems have been resolved at 14 unfinished housing estates in the city.

It follows the introduction of a government initiative in June of last year which set out to provide crucial works on partially finished developments.

This represented a 3 million euro investment nationally targetting 128 estates.

The project involves a National Co-ordination Committee chaired by Minister for Housing Jan O’Sullivan.

Galway West Labour TD Derek Nolan told Galway Bay fm news that the level of work needed varied from minor pathing works to tackling more serious public safety issues.
