PRISON SENTENCE FOR HAVING SWORD IN EYRE SQUARE

A teenager caught red-handed with an ornamental sword in his possession in Eyre Square has been given a three-month sentence for the offence at Galway District Court

19 year old Philip Kenneally, a Corkman who resides at the Fairgreen Hostel, near Eyre Square, pleaded guilty to having the sword in his possession at 10.15 p.m. on April 5 last.
