PRISON FOR MOUNTBELLEW MAN FOR DANGEROUS DRIVING CAUSING DEATH

A Mountbellew man has been sentenced to three years in prison with the final year suspended after being convicted of dangerous driving causing death.

Thomas Kelly, from Killasolan, Mountbellew, was the driver of a jeep which crashed near Mountbellew in 2004, resulting in the death of 22 year old Roscommon man, Daniel Finn.

At Galway Circuit Criminal court today, Kelly was also disqualified from driving for twelve years.
