Prices released for launch of new Knocknacarra homes
Prices have been released for Phase 2 of a new residential development on the Ballymoneen Road on the western side of the city.
They will range from €215,000 for a two-bed semi-detached house up to €330,000 for a large four-bed detached.
The second phase of Maoilín in Knocknacarra is released this week and the 20 units will be completed by May/June next year.
The 12 homes in Phase 1 – launched last July – have been sold, prompting the launch of this next phase. In all, there will be 73 homes in the development.
The new phase will consist of 2, 3 and 4-bed semi-detached and 4-bed detached homes ranging in size from 996 sq ft to 1,400 sq ft and will all be BER A Rated, built to a very high standard of construction.
Phase 1 houses are due to be completed in February/March 2016 and the current launch will be due for completion in May/June.
Michael Burke – who heads Burkeway Homes with Fred Fullard – said: “It is the first new homes development to be started in Galway City since 2007 and is an exciting new departure in the standard of design, build quality and efficiency and the cost of running these homes will be very low in comparison to existing houses.”
Burkeway have built many homes in Galway City including developments at Sliabh Rioga, Letteragh and Kingston Hall, Kingston.
In Phase 2, two-bed semis (996 sq ft) are priced at €215,000; three-bed semis from 1,179 sq ft to 1,222 sq ft are priced from €249,000; four-bed semis from 1,306 sq ft to 1,348 sq ft are priced from €289,500 and four-bed detached homes (1,400 sq ft) are €330,000.
