PRESTIGIOUS NUIG RYAN INSTITUTE BOARD MEETS TODAY

NUI Galway’s Ryan Institute advisory board is set to meet today.

Officials will meet at the college in the run up to tomorrows launch of the Institute for Environmental, Marine and Energy research by EU Commissioner Marie Geoghegan-Quinn.

New board members include Dr Kristina Johnson, former Secretary for Energy at Washington’s Department of Energy and Dr Aaron Bernstein, Director of the Centre for Health and the Global Environment at Harvard Medical School.

Tomorrow’s launch coincides with a public symposium "Green Shift, Blue Growth, Bright Future?"
