PRESIDENT TO HAVE KNEE SURGERY IN GALWAY

President Michael D Higgins will undergo surgery on his knee in Galway on Tuesday [Dec 13].

The operation will be carried out at the Bon Secours Hospital on the Dublin Road.

President Higgins will then return to the Áras after the procedure where he will spend his first Christmas with his family.
