PRESIDENT MCALEESE TO ADDRESS GENERAL SYNOD IN GALWAY

The President of Ireland, Mary McAleese will speak at the Church of Ireland General Synod in Galway next month [May]

It will be the first time ever that a sitting President will attend the event

Over 600 clergy and lay people from all over Irelans descend on the city for the 3 day conference

President McAleese will visit the General Synod on Wednesday the 14th of May, where she will first meet privately with the Bishops

At 2pm she will address the full Synod at the Radisson Hotel in the city
