PRESIDENT HIGGINS TO VISIT GALWAY ON SAINT PATRICKS DAY

President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins is to visit Galway on St. Patrick’s Day [Mar 17].

President Higgins will not be in Galway in time for the parade, which gets underway at 11.30am, but instead will arrive on Saturday evening.

The President is visiting Galway to attend the Galwegians Rugby Football Club’s 90th anniversary dinner.

The event gets underway at 8.30pm in the Radisson Blu Hotel in the City.

Earlier in the day, President Higgins will attend Mass in St. Mary’s Pro Cathedral in Dublin followed by the Dublin St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

He’ll also host a reception in Aras an Uachtaráin before travelling to Galway on Saturday evening.
