Preferred bidder selected for work on iconic Blackrock Tower

Galway Bay fm newsroom – A preferred bidder has been selected for work on the iconic Blackrock Dive Tower in Salthill.
Galway City Council sought tenders for an engineering consultancy to carry out a detailed survey of the existing concrete structure as well as the drafting of repair works.
70 thousand euro has been allocated for the rehabilitation works at the well-known landmark in this year’s budget.
City officials are now finalising procurement procedures with the preferred bidder.
Works are not likely to commence until the end of September.
