PRAVEEN TO MAKE PERSONAL STATEMENT ON REPORT INTO SAVITA’S DEATH

The husband of the late Savita Halappanavar is expected to make a personal statement on his reaction to the draft HSE report into her death.

Praveen Halappanavar reviewed the 108 page draft document over the weekend and has indicated through his solicitor that he is not satisfied with its findings.

His solicitor Gerard O’Donnell says the complex report details a chronological sequence of events but argues it has no element of accountability.

He says an expert is to assist them in the review of the report and a submission is then likely to be made, as well as a meeting with the investigation chairman.
