The inquest into the death of Savita Halappanavar will move from Galway courthouse to County Hall on Prospect Hill when it resumes next Wednesday.

Further witnesses will give statements and a post-mortem report will be discussed.

Legal representatives for Praveen Halappanavar have stated he will leave the court when the sensitive report is being read after the Coroner advised that it may be distressing.

Day five of the inquest resumes at 10 this morning with more hospital personnel and expert witnesses due to be called today.

It will then be adjourned after today’s session and will resume before Coroner Dr. Ciaran McLoughlin next Wednesday at County Hall.
