Praveen says he has yet to get ‘all the answers’ after jury in Savita inquest returns verdict
The jury at Savita Halappanavar’s inquest has returned a verdict of medical misadventure and has strongly endorsed 9 medical recommendations aimed at preventing similar fatalities in the future.
The 31 year old died from septicaemia at UHG on October 28th following a miscarriage.
Her husband Praveen has told a media briefing outside County Hall that he feels he still hasn’t gotten all of the answers.
Coroner Dr. Ciaran McLoughlin offered Praveen his deepest sympathy on the death of his wife.
He also stressed that the verdict of misadventure does not mean deficiencies or system failures led to her death and are findings in the course of her care.
