Post mortem exam due on man who died in Headford house fire

Galway Bay fm newsroom – A post mortem examination is due to be carried out at University Hospital Galway on the body of a man who died following a house fire in Headford overnight.

Three units of the fire brigade and emergency services rushed to the scene of the blaze, which broke out at a house in Liss around 1am.

Two men were in the house at the time.

One of the men managed to escape without serious injuries, however a second man in his early 60s died.

Gardaí have sealed off the house pending a technical examination.
