PORTUMNA DEVELOPMENT HALTED BY BATS

A major development of apartments, shops and offices in Portumna has been halted by bats.

John Hickey was given the go-ahead by the County Council for 43 apartments with retail and office space at St. Brendan’s Street.

However the Department of the Environment has appealed this decision to An Bord Pleanala.
