Clifden Gardaí road conditions are particularly treacherous on the N59 Clifden/westport road and Maam valley road.

Tuam Gardai say the N17 northbound towards Corofin is very icy, while worsening road conditions are causing major tailbacks along the N17.

In the city, Gardaí are advising extreme caution on all routes particularly around housing estates which have not been gritted for several days.
