POLLUTERS IN GALWAY ESCAPING LEGAL ACTION

Legal action was taken by Galway County Council in fewer than 90 cases involving serious pollution last year.

That’s according to figures from the Local Authority Management Services Board.

Despite investigating 713 cases, just 82 led to prosecutions according to the latest service indicator report on local authorities.
