POLISH MAN GETS THREE YEARS FOR CITY STABBING ON LATVIAN

A Polish man has been sentenced to three years in prison for a drunken knife attack on a Latvian man in the city two years ago.

33 year old Mariusz Gora, formerly of 242 Tirellan Heights, Headford Road, had the final year suspended after pleading guilty before Galway Circuit Criminal Court to assaulting Marcis Lauva, at the same address on July 14th 2007.
