POINTS RISE FOR COMPUTING AND SCIENCE AT NUIG

There’s been a surge in demand for courses in environmental engineering, computer science and IT at NUI Galway.

Points for science courses have all jumped by between 20 and 160 points in today’s opening round of CAO offers at the university.

Points for the majority of courses at GMIT have remained static but Construction Management is down by 70 points to 210.

The highest rise in points at NUIG was for Environmental Engineering, which jumped by 80 points to 470.

General nursing rose by 5 points to 455 while medicine is up 9 points to 729.
