PLANS TO REMOVE DEAD WHALE FROM OMEY ISLAND

Plans are being made for the removal of the whale which died after being beached at Omey Island in west Connemara

Officials from the National Parks and Wildlife Service are to carry out a further inspection of the scene as the tide ebbs later this morning.
