Galway County Council has submitted its joint bid with Galway City Council for 20 million euro to develop cycle and pedestrian routes from Oranmore to Barna as well as a new transport hub at Garraun.
Galway County Council is also vying for 5 million euro as part of the Loughrea smarter travel bid to implement measures such as reducing car use and increasing public transport.
