PLANS FOR RING ROAD AT UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL GALWAY

It’s hoped plans for a new ring road inside the perimeter of University Hospital Galway will help improve traffic circulation around the hospital

The Health Service Executive West has applied to Galway city council for permission to build the road.

The proposed works consist of widening and upgrading the existing road between the main hospital access at Newcastle road and the Cancer Care hostel in Inis Aoibhinn.

A new road is to be built between Inis Aoibhinn and the Hospital Mortuary.

There will also be some reconfiguration of parking spaces around the hospital.
