PLANS FOR MAJOR RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT IN LOUGHREA

There are plans for a large housing development in Loughrea.

Garmer Construction Ltd. is hoping to build 76 homes, 2 commercial units and a creche at the Gort Road in Loughrea.

The company is also seeking permission for a temporary treatment system, however environmental group An Taisce states in a submission that this could be “problematic”.

Planners are due to decide on the Loughrea development next month.
