Galway Hurling Board is hoping to build a Centre of Excellence in Athenry

The Board has applied for permission for the development which includes a Sports Hall at Mountain South

The proposed Centre of Excellence for hurling includes the construction of hurling walls, 3 free-standing shelters, and a Sports Hall with dressing rooms

The plans also include a gym, canteen, meeting rooms,toilets, offices and all weather-training pitch with floodlighting and 5 grass-based training pitches aswell as an all-weather training pathway
