Plans approved for expansion of Newcastle Educate Together school

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Plans for a major expansion at Galway Educate Together School in Newcastle have been given the go-ahead.
City planners have granted permission with 20 conditions attached.
The plan will see the construction of a two-storey extension at the school on Thomas Hynes Road.
This will include eight classrooms, teacher rooms and a library.
Site works include alterations to Thomas Hynes Road including a new set down area and roundabout.
The development will also provide 32 car parking spaces including accessible parking to land directly east of the existing school.
Of the conditions attached, one states that construction activity is carried out between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday, and between 9am and 1pm on Saturdays.
Another stipulates that bicycle parking is suitable for school-going children.
