Galway Bay fm newsroom – An application to remove a basement carpark from a residential development in Kingshill on Salthill Road Upper has been approved.
The matter had been subject to a third party appeal due to concerns regarding right of way access.
An Bord Pleanála has granted permission to remove the basement carpark and build a new private surface carpark for use by residents of the existing development.
Nine conditions have been set out.
One of these stipulates that the permission is not to be construed as giving consent to retain two apartments at level 2, nor the revised front elevation to Block A, or the omission of the pedestrian access.
The car parking spaces provided within the development are also to be reserved exclusively for residents.
