PLANNING DEADLINE EXTENDED FOR RAHOON DEVELOPMENT

More time has been allowed to T’ O hUiginn and Co Limited to demolish its manufacturing building at Shantalla in the city.

The company applied to the City Council for an extension of duration on planning permission to demolish the building and rebuild a new premises.

The development will facilitate the transfer of T O’ hUiginn & Co. Limited builders providers from its current location at Shantalla Road to a proposed building at Rahoon Road.

City planners have given a new deadline for planning permission of December 2017.

Meanwhile, last week city planners requested that plans to build a Tesco on the site of the former T O hUiginn building to be scaled back.

In a separate planning application, they have requested clarification in relation to certain aspects of the supermarket development including internal road layouts.
