PIETA HOUSE TO SUBMIT PLAN ON TOGHERMORE TUAM

Minister of state for Mental Health Kathleen Lynch is supporting plans to establish a suicide prevention centre in Tuam.

The Minister met with a delegation from Pieta House and local organisations in Tuam yesterday about developing mental health services.

It’s being proposed that Pieta House, which is a centre for prevention of suicide and self harm, open a base at the HSE Toghermore campus in Tuam.

The HSE and Pieta House are expected to lodge a joint submission on the proposal in the coming weeks.
