Phone lines out at Galway hospital
Galway Bay Fm Newsroom
The phone lines are out of operation at University Hospital Galway at this Sunday evening.
It is thought that some of the technical equipment for the telephone service at the hospital may have been hit by lightning earlier this evening (Sunday).
A spokesperson for Eircom says the company is working to restore the service as soon as possible.
In a statement the West/North West Hospitals Group also says all efforts are being made to have the service back to normal as quickly as possible.
