A decision to grant permission for apartments and a surgery in the heart of Loughrea town has been overturned by An Bord Pleanála

Roche Construction initially got the go ahead for the development at Moore Street, but local residents appealled the decision to An Bord Pleanála

Their bid to overturn the decision has proven successful

Some residents of Moore Street argued in the appeal that they were “upset and frightened” by the plans for 19 apartments and a surgery in the historic part of the town
