PERMISSION EXTENSION GRANTED FOR TUAM DEVELOPMENT

Galway County Council has granted an extension of planning permission for the construction of a residential development in Ballynapark in Tuam.

Planning had previously been granted for the project back in 2008 with a list of 19 conditions attached.

The plans consist of 21 dwelling houses, 21 garages, an access road and associated works.

Applicant Martin Costello sought an extension noting that the "development didn’t start due to the downturn and the poor demand for houses".

Permission will now cease to have effect on the 30th September 2017.
