PERFORMANCE OF GALWAY PORT SCRUTINISED BY TRANSPORT COMMITTEE

The performance of the Galway port company, along with other major Irish ports, has come under the scrutiny of an Oireachtas watchdog.

The Oireachtas Joint Committee on Transport has recently published a report outlining several recommendations for the sector.

They include that the foreshore and dumping at sea licence application process be streamlined.
