PEDESTRIAN SERIOUSLY INJURED IN CONNEMARA CRASH

ONE man has been seriously injured in a crash, involving a vehicle and a pedestrian, in the Kilkerian area of Connemara in the early hours of today.

The man who was seriously injured in the accident was the pedestrian and he is currently being treated at University Hospital, Galway.

The crash happened shortly after 2 am at Ardmore, Kilkieran and Supintendent Noel Kelly says the Gardai in Clifden are appealing for witnesses.

The number for Clifden Gardai is 095 22500.

Meanwhile the woman injured in a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at Lowville Ahascragh yesterday morning at 10 is still being treated in hospital in Ballinasloe.

Gardai are seeking witnesses at Ballinasloe 09096-31890.
