There’s a treat in store for electronic and house music fans this Saturday, July 25, with a three-room gig at Electric on the city’s Abbeygate Street that includes Tensnake, Daniel Wang and DMX Krew.

Tensnake (who’ll be on the main floor) is German producer and DJ Marco Niemerski. Playing his own brand of funky house and disco, Marco released a collaboration with Chic’s Nile Rodgers last year. His DJ skills have also seen him land residencies in Ibiza and at festivals and clubs worldwide. So, to have him on Electric’s main floor at this year’s Arts Festival is a big deal for local clubbers.

The Disconauts, meanwhile, will present disco king Daniel Wang in the Garden, where they promise his disco-fuelled sound will be ‘in glorious full flow’.

The third element, DMX Krew, being presented by Bap To The Future will be in the Factory part of the venue. Edward Upton – the recording name of DMX Krew – was one of the first artists to mine the like of 80s Boogie, Miami Bass, Synth Pop and Acid House and create a playful, contemporary take on those electronic music staples. He has released the bulk of his material on the Rephlex Record label.

DNK Krew regularly holds his Fresh-Up party in the basement of a restaurant off London’s Brick Lane where he shares the classic cuts that have influenced his sound.

Doors for this triple bill at Electric are 10pm, and admission is €10/12.
