The Pálás Cinema will open its doors to the public next Monday, July 27. The venue’s Kitchen & Bar will also reopen.
All safety measures, as per government guidelines on Covid-19, have been implemented.
Films being screened will include classics and a few surprises. These include a 40th-anniversary screening of The Empire Strikes Back and the new indie dark comedy, Saint Frances, as well as the black and white edition of Bong Joon Ho’s acclaimed Parasite.
There will be a season of films scored by the late Ennio Morricone, along with a selection of the best of Studio Ghibli and a rescheduled David Lynch season.
Casablanca, Roman Holidays, Call Me by Your Name and Mean Girls are also on the menu, while the Cinema Book Club will host a screening of Clueless, based on Jane Austen’s Emma. And the National Theatre Live’s production of Fleabag will also feature.
