PADRAIG FLYNN TO GIVE PUBLIC LECTURE IN GALWAY

Former EU commissioner Pádraig Flynn will discuss the formation of EU disability law and policy at a lecture in the city later this month.

Mayo man, Pádraig Flynn was commissioner for employment and social affairs in Brussels during the mid 1990s.

This was a turning point for the formation of EU disability policy, when the United Nations published a revolutionary document on the issue.

The public seminar,organised by the new lifecourse centre at NUI Galway, takes place in NUI Galway on the 22nd of September.
