Owner of Knocknacarra hotel seeks extra time for build
Galway Bay fm newsroom – The owner of the Spinnaker house hotel in Knocknacarra is asking planners for 5 more years to construct a 26 bed hotel on the site.
Ronan Lawless has lodged an application with city planners for the extra time to build the development to include a public bar, lounge as well as 16 apartments.
The application states that the economic downturn resulted in a reduction of finance for property projects, and financing the build of this development became impossible.
City planners are expected to make a decision on the extension of time request in January.
