OVERALL CRIME DOWN IN GALWAY CITY

Overall crime is down in Galway city, however, theft, the sale or supply of drugs, and assault are on the rise.

That’s according to the latest Garda crime figures for 20-11 released today at a meeting of the joint policing committee in the city.

The overall crime figures, representing a drop of 18 percent on the previous year, were broadly welcomed at today’s meeting of the Joint policing committee.
