OVER 80 THOUSAND PEOPLE ATTEND BALLINASLOE HORSE FAIR

Over 80 thousand people attended the opening day for the annual October fair in Ballinasloe today.

The event, which is Europes oldest horse fair, was officially opened by Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny TD.

There were long traffic delays on all roads going into the town, and Gardaí are advising motorists that diversions are still in place.
